You could substitute an entire grain pita or buns for the bread, or omit the bread and serve the salad on a mattress of lettuce greens.

If you don’t plan on making the entire sandwiches at one time, make solely the sandwiches desired and retailer the leftover filling in an hermetic container within the fridge for as much as 3 days.
